The Nigeria Farmer’s Day, a flagship event of the 7th Nigeria International Agricultural Expo (NIAEXPO 2025), stands as a national celebration and empowerment platform dedicated to recognizing the resilience, innovation, and contributions of Nigerian farmers to national development and food security. Scheduled to hold from August 26th to 28th, 2025, at the Abuja International Conference Centre, the Farmer’s Day brings together thousands of smallholder farmers, commercial producers, agribusiness leaders, development partners, and policymakers from across the country.
Organized as a special highlight within NIAEXPO 2025, Nigeria Farmer’s Day will feature a robust program of hands-on demonstrations, farmer-focused exhibitions, training workshops, competitions, policy dialogues, and innovation showcases. It is designed to promote knowledge sharing, increase access to agricultural technologies, and bridge the gap between farmers and critical stakeholders in the agricultural value chain.
With special forums such as the AFAN National Farmers Forum, the Edu-Agri Training Sessions, the Farm Machinery Demo Zone, and the Women & Youth in Agriculture Programs, Nigeria Farmer’s Day reflects NIAEXPO’s broader mission to drive inclusive growth, strengthen rural economies, and ensure the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices across Nigeria.
